Trapani rises up on the western part of the island between the sea and Mount Erice, ancient medieval village with its peculiar streets and artisan shops. From Erice you can admire, as precious gems, Egadi Islands (Favignana, Levanzo, Marettimo). In Trapani you will find a great number of natural habitat (costs, islands, lagoons, mountains, sand dunes) like: Zingaro Natural Reserve, placed between San Vito Lo Capo and the suggestive village of Scopello, Monte Cofano Reserve,Paleolithic caves of Mangiapane in Scurati, the Natural Reserve of the saltworks in Trapani and Paceco, Stagnone Islands in Marsala that include the ancient Phoenician colony of Mothia. In this places it is possible to practise different activities like the birdwaching and different sports like trekking, mountain bike or rock climbing. From the historical point of wiew, you will find the archeological park of Segesta with its marvelous temple and the Greek amphitheatre where classical representations are held untill now and the archeological park of Selinunte, one of the biggest archeological area in the Mediterranean territory. Furthermore, San Vito Lo Capo, small sea village, famous for its beaches and its Cous-Cous fest, and important gastronomical festival.
